As a jewellery maker, I work with various tools every day, and over time, I began to reflect on my relationship with them. The series The Maker’s Paradox expresses this subtle interaction through three pieces of jewellery rich with double meanings and metaphors: The magnifying glass ring transforms a jewellery appraisal tool, originally meant for “objective judgement”, into jewellery itself. This exchange of roles disrupts the neutrality of value assignment, rendering it a self-referential and even absurd loop.
